These fitover eyeshields are available in two different sizes, medium and large (product codes EH90 and EH97).
This amber/orange tinted lens allows 24 per cent of light to pass through the filter; this percentage is known as the Visible Light Transmission (VLT). The UV filter improves contrast, visual acuity and brightens the image, whilst this lens also provides Blue Blocker (BB) and glare protection. This lens is often recommended for diabetic retinopathy and retinitis pigmentosa.
The soft yet durable fitover, black eyeshield frame is specially designed to provide over top and side protection from excess light, which helps to reduce glare and discomfort that ordinary sunglasses don’t provide. This style of eyeshield is designed to be worn over existing prescription spectacles or on their own.

A low value VLT percentage will block more light from entering the eye; a high value allows more light into the eye. You should avoid a VLT percentage that is too dark for your needs for safety reasons.
This eyeshield frame is available with seven tint shades of UV lenses – medium grey, dark grey, amber, yellow, plum, amber/orange and red/orange. All shades act to reduce the amount of ultraviolet light that enters the eyes.
