TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Delivery

When you receive your order, the package will contain a 'dispatch' note. This is not an invoice but it should be retained in case you need to return the goods for any reason. Your order will normally be dispatched to you within 7-10 working days.

Payment

You can choose from the following ways of paying online:

  1. Credit Cards: we accept Visa and Master Card.
  2. Debit Cards: we accept Delta, Maestro, Solo and Electron.
  3. Direct Debit: if you would like to pay by Direct Debit please contact Customer Services who will be able to assist you in arranging this. Call them on 0303 123 999 Or email shop@rnib.org.uk

Distant selling regulations

Customers have the right to cancel an order within 7 working days from placement of the order.

Instructions

Instructions for all the products in this catalogue, where applicable, will be sent to you in large print.   If you require braille or tape instructions, please quote the product code followed by 'B' for braille or 'T' for tape instructions at the time of placing your order.

Returning Goods

All goods are guaranteed against faults for 12 months, unless stated, from date of invoice.   Faults should be notified to RNIB Customer Services prior to return, who will issue a returns authorisation number.

Goods can be returned as 'unsuitable' within 30 days of delivery, subject to the following conditions:

  • Customer must contact RNIB Customer Services to obtain a returns authorisation number.
  • Items must be returned in original packaging.
  • Goods must be marked 'Returns' and must show the authorisation number.
  • Goods lost in transit will only be refunded on proof of postage.

Goods marked as 'non returnable' in the RNIB catalogues cannot be returned for hygiene reasons - unless they are faulty.   Equally software products where the seal has been broken cannot be returned unless faulty.

Where goods are sold to organisations, who then sell on the goods, the guarantee will commence from the date of original purchase from RNIB.

Availability

RNIB cannot guarantee that all the items within the Online Shop will remain available indefinitely.

Product Descriptions

The products are only suitable for the uses described, any other use is the customers own responsibility.   As part of our continuing programme of product development we reserve the right to improve and update products designs and colours.

Measurements and Weights

Measurements and weights are given where appropriate and are approximate.   All product measurements are available from customer services.

Dishwasher Safe Special Note

Unless stated, products listed are not dishwasher safe.  

None of the above terms and conditions affect your statutory rights.

Computer and Technology additional terms and conditions:

We offer comprehensive support on the goods and services that we have supplied but can not provide support on products supplied by other providers.

Our guarantee on equipment lasts 12 months from the date of purchase covering faulty goods only.

In the event of failure within guarantee, RNIB will arrange for the collection and return.   We can not however cover the costs of returns outside of the guarantee period.

Please retain the packaging on items since these will help protect the items if they have to be returned.

Prices and specifications are constantly being updated and this means that quotations are valid for one month only.

If you intend to install other software then please check with our technical team beforehand since we may not be able to undo any effects.

Software can not be returned unless it is in a saleable condition and so we urge you to try our free demonstration disks before you purchase software. Software is not returnable if the seals have been broken.

Please retain all software disks supplied in a safe place for possible future use.

We offer telephone and email support Monday to Friday, during the hours of 9.00am - 5.15pm and can arrange demonstrations at our resource centres, if we are given sufficient notice.
