Abi books are humorous stories featuring the adventures of a six year old blind girl. These books provide extra reading practice and may be used by young readers who have completed the Hands On braille course.
A print version of the text appears on facing pages to encourage paired reading, and enables parents and others to enjoy the books with the braille learner. Capitalised braille is used throughout.
The booklets have tactile pictures on the covers, and the humorous stories and experiences of the central character will appeal to the young reader.
