Part of the Cubarithm arithmetic kit, this magnet can be used to remove the weighted cubes from the workboard. It can also be used for science experiments.

Cubarithm is a braille maths teaching aid for visually impaired children or older students with learning difficulties. It helps in the teaching of arithmetic layout and, unlike paper, allows easy correction. The weighted plastic cubes are embossed with braille signs using the upper four dots of the braille cell (dots 1, 2, 4 and 5) and an embossed line.

Arithmetical calculations are made by placing the cubes into the appropriate spaces on the partitioned board, with the desired braille character uppermost. A magnet can be used to assist in the removal of the cubes when work is completed.

  • Age: 11+ years.

Important

  • This product is the magnet only. The Cubarithm board and cubes must be ordered separately.
  • Due to the small size of both the cubes and magnet, we recommend that the Cubarithm is used under adult supervision.

Warnings

  • The full Cubarithm kit contains small magnets. Swallowed magnets can stick together across intestines causing serious injuries. Seek immediate medical attention if magnets are swallowed.
