This smart, real-time tactile graphics display enables blind and partially sighted users to access visual content from any source.
Dot Pad instantly converts any input on a connected device into a tactile graphic – including handwriting, sketches, signatures, graphs, maps, diagrams and photos – that you can interact with and explore in detail.
Dot Pad connects to devices via Bluetooth, and has simple, intuitive controls and a 20-cell text-to-braille panel in addition to 2,400 pins in the tactile graphic panel. (The panel can accommodate 300 braille glyphs, in addition to the 20-cell braille panel below the controls.) Dot Pad’s cells are powered by the innovative Dot actuator technology: ten times smaller, lighter, and more energy efficient than conventional braille devices.
Dot Pad is compatible with many Apple devices (iOS & iPadOS 15.2 and higher) and integrates with VoiceOver to provide additional screen reading capabilities. Connect to iPhone or iPad via Bluetooth or USB-C cable (no additional apps required).
The six freely assignable tactile buttons allow you to explore images by inverting, zooming, rotating and panning them.
Roughly the size of a laptop, and weighing 1.2kg, the Dot Pad is also extremely portable.
