Though this phone is unlocked to all networks, it does come with a free pay-as-you-go SIM card, mobile number and £5 call, text and internet credit. If you have an old phone, simply transfer the SIM to the new Synapptic phone – this will instantly transfer your old number, along with any existing credit or contract.

EE Pay-as-you-go costs

Each Synapptic device is supplied with an EE pay-as-you SIM with £10 credit. Customers can swap this with their own SIM, purchase one of our monthly Synapptic Vodafone Call Plans or continue to use the pay-as-you-go SIM.

A point to note is that PAYG gives you the worst value for money - monthly contracts are much better. Eg. our £15 per month plan gives unlimited free calls and unlimited free texts!

The headline PAYG prices are:

  • Calls to other mobiles and landlines: 35p per minute.
  • Text messages to mobiles: 15p per message.

The best way is to register a debit card with EE. With this in place you can then just send a text message to 150 or call 150 and follow an automated service. In addition to this, you can top-up via the EE website or buy a top-up voucher at a shop, post office or cash machine.

To register a debit card with EE either use the MyEE website or the MyEE app. This is a one-off process that will last until the card expires.

If you would like further support to set up your mobile we may have a volunteer in your area. We strongly advise arranging the volunteer time and date before ordering to ensure this is available within the 14-day return period, in case you decide the phone is not suitable.

Special order

We work with partners to deliver products on our behalf. If you’re buying a special order product, we will pass on your contact information to our partners to enable delivery. We may also quote extended delivery times, outside of our standard terms and conditions for these products. We cannot refund unsuitable returns after the 14-day period; the product must be returned in “as new” condition in original, undamaged packaging.

Important - order cancellations and returns

We are unable to cancel your order once it has been placed. Should you change your mind about this special order product, you will need to accept the delivery and then contact RNIB Helpline to arrange its return; guidance on how to do this can be found in our Returns Policy.

We kindly ask our customers to ensure that any faulty products being returned are packaged securely for stable transit, or the warranty may be voided. Where possible, please use the original packaging.
