Dolphin ScreenReader is fast, reliable screen reading software which gives speech and braille access for Windows to people who are blind or partially sighted.

It can be customised to meet your exact requirements with a range of customisable speech settings; support for a wide range of braille displays; and fast, reliable access to Microsoft Office and Windows apps. You can explore the screen with a keyboard or braille display, connect a scanner to Scan & Read printed text, and get knowledgeable support from Dolphin's accessibility experts.

Dolphin ScreenReader speaks characters and words as you type and offers a choice of natural and synthetic voices, with 30 different accents and languages available. It has speak-as-you-type functionality, allows you to control the description verbosity and quickly turn speech on and off.

You can also read and type with a braille display – Dolphin ScreenReader supports more than 60 braille display models and 50 braille codes, including UEB (Unified English Braille). It also supports both uncontracted (Grade 1) and contracted (Grade 2) braille

Dolphin ScreenReader has robust support for Microsoft Office and gives complete access to Windows apps, as well as reliable access to web browsers. A scripting service is available for bespoke app support.

This software gives keyboard access to all applications and reduces the need for a mouse. You can navigate using Item Finder or Place Markers on complex documents and web pages, and use hotkey controls and shortcuts.

If you have a scanner you can scan and read printed documents, labels, articles and inaccessible PDFs using OCR (optical character recognition). You can also convert paper documents to MS Word and export scanned text to Google Drive.

Dolphin ScreenReader also includes the EasyReader for Windows app for accessible reading. Use the software to borrow from accessible book libraries, use talking newspaper services, read whole documents in one go, and to save, share, and send ePub files.
