Mr Dot, AKA Clarke Reynolds, famous for his braille-based art, has teamed up with Pepita coffee to produce coffee tins featuring his tactile braille art – which you can now buy from our Shop.

He explains, “I treat braille like typography. When I said to Pepita Coffee, in association with Fat Boy Slim, I wanted to see if we can make the braille raised on my coffee tin. And you know what they said? ‘Yes, we can!’

“For me, braille is 200 years old, so let's bring it into the 21st century. Let's not hide it away. So, on my lovely tin we have the biggest word, I think it’s the most important word of all, ‘love’.

“I love being blind and I love braille. And on this tin, you can actually feel the word ‘love’. There's high gloss dots on a matte finish and you can feel the word ‘love’.

“We’ve teamed up with RNIB to sell this tin of coffee on their shop with a share of the proceeds from the selling of this unique coffee tin going to them.

“What better way to celebrate braille than with a unique Pepita coffee in partnership with Fat Boy Slim and Mr Dot ‘Love’ braille coffee tin?”

Each limited-edition tin contains 250g of luxury coffee made from 100 per cent Arabica beans sourced from Central and South America, the horn of Africa, and India. It has a fragrant and floral aroma with jasmine and rose petal notes. The full flavour has strong, sweet accents, with very pleasant, barely perceptible acidity and a delicate, lingering aftertaste. And when you’ve used all the coffee, you can refill the tin with your favourite blend.

By purchasing this product from us, you will be supporting the work we do at RNIB to make every day better for those affected by sight loss.
