Delivery Information

Standard delivery times  

Orders with a value of £60.00 (ex. VAT) or higher are sent by courier, at a cost of £3.99 and should arrive within five working days. Orders below £59.99  are sent either  free of charge by Royal Mail’s Articles for the Blind scheme, which can take up to 14 days or by courier at a cost of £3.99 depending on the option you have chosen. You will receive an email when your order is despatched. If you have not received your order in the expected time frame, please let us know by phone +44 303 123 9999 or email helpline@rnib.org.uk. 

Where we deliver

We can only deliver to addresses in the UK. If you would like to ship to an address outside the UK, we might be able to suggest other organisations that can help supply the product you’re looking for. Contact us by phone +44 303 123 9999 or email helpline@rnib.org.uk. 

Special orders 

Some products are delivered for us by third-party suppliers. These orders may be subject to an additional delivery charge as they will be despatched separately from the supplier. Any additional charges will be added at the checkout. These orders usually arrive within seven days, but could take up to six weeks.   Any potential longer shipping times will be stated on the corresponding product page.

Articles for the Blind scheme 

Many of our products and some publications in large print (16 point and above) can be sent by freepost under Royal Mail’s Articles for the Blind scheme. Although economical, this service does not offer guarantees or insurance, so we use couriers  for orders over £60.

Delivery charges 

Orders above £60 in value – £3.99

Orders below £60 in value either:

Articles for the Blind – free of charge OR,

DPD – £3.99

Any delivery charges will be added to your order at checkout. Some items despatched from our third-party suppliers may incur an additional £3.99 delivery charge. If relevant this additional cost will be added at checkout.

Despatch note 

All shipments include a despatch note giving details of the package contents. Please check this against the actual contents of the package and alert us immediately (within seven working days of receiving the order) about any discrepancies.
