The light detector is easy to use; simply slide the power switch to ‘on’, then press and hold the semi-circular button while pointing the device at different areas. The audible tone will change with the brightness it measures – the higher the light intensity, the higher the tone. A consistent tone indicates a uniform colour, while a varying tone indicates a patterned or colourful surface.
