The adaptor converts your existing hook tip cane to fit 8mm thread-on tips. Attach this tip adaptor to the elastic cord in your Aluminum, Graphite, or Fiberglass cane, as you normally would a regular hook tip. You can then thread-on any thread-on tip from Ambutech's full range of 8mm tips. This may be desired if the elastic cord is difficult to pull out from the cane; thread-on tips are often considered easier to attach.
Please note: Your cane will be about 1” longer than before but will now accept any Ambutech 8mm thread-on tip. All Ambutech threaded tips offered by RNIB are 8mm and are therefore compatible with the tip adaptor. Can be used with Ambutech hook style canes. Does not fit slimline graphite canes, telescopic graphite canes or aluminium symbol canes.
