This simple analogue watch is designed for children with vision impairment. It has three tactile controls – two buttons and a crown – a clear face with bold, black hour and minute hands and a Velcro fastening.
The first button announces the time in a clear voice when pressed (and the time and date when pressed twice). The volume can not be adjusted, but the voice can be turned off by putting the watch into sleep mode.
The crown is used to set the hands on the watch (sighted assistance will be needed) and the second button is used to set time and date for the voice, and an alarm if wanted (the alarm can only be set for times between 7am and 9pm).
The clock dial includes marks for minutes or seconds as well as bold, black numbers. As well as bold black hour and minute hands, this talking watch has a red second hand.
The Velcro fastening makes it easy to put on and remove the talking children’s watch, and means the watch is adjustable.
Supplied in a yellow tin, this watch is available with a purple strap or a camo strap.
