From reading your mail to identifying objects and managing calls, it gives you every tool you need to stay independent.

Because it’s entirely voice-operated, Pocket Plus can be used without learning gestures or a need to see the screen. There’s no specific commands or phrases to learn – simply speak in your natural language. Pocket Plus will understand anything you say: any accent, any phrasing.

Pocket Plus is multi-functional – use it for hands-free calling and texting, entertainment, and for dedicated assistance tools, such as object identification, and reading printed or handwritten text (including expiry dates) aloud. You can ask the Sight Assistant to describe any text or image, and ask questions about what it can see, too.

Pocket Plus gives you access to thousands of audiobooks, and talking newspapers and magazines via RNIB Library and RNIB Newsagent. You can also use it to listen to your favourite podcasts.

Other features include: set voice reminders for appointments or tasks; get directions or weather updates; video magnifier; use WhatsApp and Be My Eyes.

Pocket Plus features the latest in AI innovation, with software updates that ensure you always have access to the best technology. It’s ready to use, straight out of the box, and you have unlimited customer support from the UK-based RealSAM team (9am-5.30pm, Monday to Friday).

Pocket Plus uses a dual nano-SIM card for calls and texts, and requires mobile data or wi-fi to operate. Please note, you are purchasing the handset only, not a phone contract.

Hard copy instructions are supplied by RealSAM and have a seven-day lead time.

This is not an Android phone. The RealSAM operating system does not allow you to add apps from the Google Play store.
