With a little help from you, their green-fingered friend, ladybirds and beetles will find the vital work of pollination a little bit easier, while you get a garden, balcony or window box filled with delightful wildflowers.

This beetle mix tin of 20 seed balls (each containing about 30 seeds) will produce a selection of native wildflowers designed to attract ladybirds and beetles, helping to support the biodiversity and ecosystem of your garden. Wildflowers include: Common knapweed, Cornflower, Cow Parsley, Field scabious, Foxglove, Great burnet and Yarrow.

Did you know that many beetles are important pollinators who pollinated the first flowers 140 million years ago at the time of dinosaurs? About a quarter of the UK’s beetles are pollinators, feeding on nectar and then transporting pollen on their legs. They love open-faced flowers and those with multiple flower heads – making this mix of flowers perfect for them.

A great gift for experienced gardeners or those just starting to develop green fingers, these seed balls are easy to use and will produce a mix of pretty, tactile, beetle-friendly native wildflowers to delight humans and beetles alike! Download our Seedball hints and tips to get the best from your seed balls.

Please note, Foxglove is toxic if eaten.

By purchasing this product, you will be supporting the work we do at RNIB to make every day better for those affected by sight loss.
