Seed balls are incredibly easy to use – simply scatter on top of soil or compost (no digging or expertise required!) in spring or autumn and nature will do the rest. Each ball grows a mix of wildflowers that attract a wide range of insects, including bees and butterflies.

An ideal gift for plant lovers whether they're experienced gardeners or just starting to develop green fingers, these seed balls are easy to use and will produce swathes of tall daisies that not only look beautiful but also attract wildlife.

Ox-eye daisies are one of the quickest growing wildflowers, whose open flower heads attract bees, butterflies and hoverflies. These resilient wildflowers can often be seen in drifts along road verges and require very little care. For best results grow in nutrient-poor, free-draining soil in full sun. You can cut back after flowering in late summer or leave it to self-seed and provide seed for birds. Download our Seedball hints and tips to get the best from your seed balls.

This tube of 20 seed balls (each containing about 30 ox-eye daisy seeds) will produce tall (30-90cm), white daisies from May to September.

Please note, ox-eye daisies are toxic to dogs and cats if eaten.
