Children can play their favourite stories and songs by placing a tactile, magnetic Tonie character on top of the box. Tap the box to skip a song or chapter, tilt it to fast-forward or rewind, and squeeze the ears of the box to adjust the volume. No screens, no ads – just safe, accessible, independent reading.

This Toniebox 2 Starter Set includes a squishy, light grey Toniebox 2, USB-C charging cable and a Creative Tonie Rubie. Unlike Book Tonies and Cuddle Tonies, you can record up to 90 minutes of your own songs, stories and messages on to a Creative Tonie using a smartphone and the free Tonies app for iOS or Android. You can also add free and paid-for content from the app.

Toniebox 2 is a robust, squishy cube-shaped device designed to be used by children. They simply place a tactile, magnetic Tonie on top (the top of the Toniebox has asymmetric cat ears attached and a dynamic light ring) to listen to stories and songs. Book Tonies and Cuddle Tonies are in the shape of a character from that story, for example, the Gruffalo, Winnie the Pooh, or Paddington Bear. Creative Tonie Rubie wears a red, hooded onesie with cat ears.

Children can easily control what they are listening to – tapping the box will skip a chapter or song; tilting the box will fast-forward or rewind the audio; and squeezing the ears of the box will adjust the volume (squeeze the bigger ear to turn the volume up and the smaller ear to turn it down).

A full charge provides up to 10 hours' listening via the built-in speaker or Bluetooth headphones.

To encourage healthy sleep habits, the Toniebox 2 has a sleep timer with a soft orange night light and a sunrise alarm that wakes little ones with energising light and sound.
