Strawberry Thief is one of William Morris's most popular repeating designs for textiles and features the thrushes that the artist found stealing fruit from the kitchen garden of his countryside home, Kelmscott Manor, in Oxfordshire.
The pattern of birds, strawberries and flowers is in brown, yellow and shades of green, blue and red on a dark blue background, and complements both modern and traditional home decor, with its elaborate floral and foliage motifs and intricate, hand-drawn details.
These cork-backed placemats are laminated to be heat resistant up to 100C and can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.
