Inspired by the artist's kitchen garden and the thrushes he found stealing fruit from it, Strawberry Thief is one of William Morris's most popular designs. The thrushes on this card are in warm yellow and pale orange, and pale yellow and green, on a dark blue background, with grey-green and sage green foliage, and scarlet strawberries. A dark blue text box in the middle of the card contains the message 'Merry Christmas'.
