Some retailers promise never to be beaten on price, others pride themselves on exclusive offerings, but when you buy from us every penny of profit is ploughed into RNIB’s work ensuring everyone with sight loss can live the life they want to lead, without limits.

Most of our products are designed specifically with blind and partially sighted people in mind, so they can enjoy an independent life. Some products have earned their place in our range by being well-designed and useful to our customers – some lamps or kitchen gadgets, for example. Others, like items in our gift range, help us to raise more money for RNIB.

So, if you buy a lamp or a gift from us, you can know that all our profits go into RNIB services. There are no shareholders to answer to, just blind and partially sighted people benefitting from the money we raise.

When you buy from us, you’re helping the 72,000 patients seen by ECLOs in the past year, you’re supporting our Helpline to answer around 200,000 calls a year (and answer more than 35,000 emails), and you’re funding our employment service (who last year helped nearly 2,000 people to find work or stay in employment), the RNIB Library, Talk and Support, our Children, Young People, Families and Education Service, Letters from Santa, and so much more.

What does that mean? Well, for example, our Helpline is often the first point of contact for everyone who needs support from RNIB – whether they’re dealing with a new sight loss diagnosis, someone with a long standing sight loss needing further support, or family members of a loved one with sight loss. Helpline advisers cover everything from emotional support and helping people access welfare entitlements, through to employment advice and support to buy products from our Shop. Your purchases in the last twelve months raised enough money to fund 100,000 hours of Helpline support.
