Meet our motion-activated head torch
For hands-free lighting that improves safety and visibility when walking or moving around in low light.
This LED head torch is particularly helpful for blind and partially sighted people, who may have their hands occupied with a cane or guide dog while out and about. Turn the light on and off with just a wave of your hand, instead of having to fiddle with buttons or switches on the move.
Whether you want extra light, or a way to make yourself more easily seen when walking in the dark, this lightweight, motion-activated head torch has two light sources to achieve that – a 3W LED focus beam built into the sensor unit (on the side of your head), and a 5W CoB LED panel with 180 degree visibility (for your forehead). To turn the lights on or off, simply wave your hand near the sensor unit.

A text-to-speech scanner and magnifier that fits in your pocket
VoxiVision 2 magnifier & scanner is a small and versatile device that can read any text, including handwriting, out loud, and also functions as a video magnifier, voice recorder, barcode and label reader, and colour and banknote detector.
The size of a smartphone, this easy-to-use device can be used anywhere and controlled by tactile buttons, voice controls or hand gestures.
The enhanced hardware of the VoxiVision 2 means it has twice the processing power of the original device, and improved optics, battery life and connectivity.
VoxiVision 2 can capture and read up to A4-size documents. It doesn't require an internet connection for most text, so it can be used on the go to read letters, books, street signs and information from screens. (To read handwriting accurately, you will need to connect the device to the internet.) You can use VoxiVision 2 handheld or place it in the supplied stand to use as a standalone reader.
In addition to its text-to-speech function, you can ask the device to analyse an image. For example: TV guide – "What time and channel is Midsomer Murders on?", or Menu – "How much does the green salad cost?"
As a handheld video magnifier, it offers a 6.6-inch screen and a magnification range up to 25× with a smooth, continuous zoom. Use for close viewing and distance magnification. Save and store information for later viewing. Enlarge saved images and pan using your finger on the screen. Choose from a selection of colour modes to make viewing easier. The upgraded optics of the VoxiVision 2 turn it into a true pocket-sized magnifying glass.
You can also use the VoxiVision 2 magnifer & scanner to read barcodes, identify banknotes and record audio labels (up to one minute per tag).

RNIB talking analogue clock
With the clocks 'springing' forward on Sunday, 29 March, we have a limited time £10-off offer on this easy-to-see clock which also announces the time, date and day of the week in a natural male English voice.
The white face has bold black numbers and hands (with glow-in-the-dark tips) and can be illuminated at night for easier reading. The clock controls are white to contrast with the black case, and the clock has both an alarm and a silent mode if required. Easy-to-use, simply press the large talk button once to hear the time and press a second time to hear the date and day.

Meet the Big Purple Phone
This smartphone for people with low vision has simplified features; extra-large, high-contrast icons and text; an option for spoken feedback; and it can be managed remotely by a carer or trusted sighted person.
The Big Purple Phone – SilverFox edition was designed with simplicity and accessibility in mind from the start. It uses a larger handset which means a larger touch screen (6.8 inches), and it's designed to display large, full screen notifications for incoming calls, messages and reminders so users do not miss out on important information.
Each screen has one primary task with big menu buttons, making the phone easy to use. For example, you have only to click on one button to video chat with friends and family, send a message, or turn the torch on or off.
The phone interface has been designed with consistent navigation to aid usability. For example, Home and SOS are always in the same place. In addition, most complicated settings are hidden to reduce confusion and to save people getting lost in menus that are accidentally opened.
You can also have BigPurpleTalk turned on (via the secure carer's portal for family and support teams) which enables the phone to speak as you touch it. For example, announcing the numbers as you tap the keypad to make a call, reading the keyboard as you type, and speaking the name or a button or a contact name when tapped.
You can access up to five selected apps (enabled via the carer's portal), including WhatsApp, Facebook, Audible, email, Instagram, or Spotify.
The carer's portal provides remote support and allows trusted family members or support staff to add or edit contacts, adjust settings, enable/disable apps, manage reminders, and provide help without needing to physically handle the phone. This keeps the user in control while ensuring the phone stays safe and consistent.
The Safe Callers List is an optional setting to ensure only approved contacts can call or text, reducing scam calls, spam, and unwanted contact.
You can also use the camera on the Big Purple Phone as a magnifier with enhanced zoom and contrast to read menus, labels or small print.
