Topaz XL HD 22 inch desktop video magnifier

The TOPAZ XL HD is a desktop magnifying solution that gives you high-contrast text, vibrant colours, and rich black and white, with a wide field of view. Get sharp images from 1.5× to 67× and magnify books and magazines, or medication labels and cooking instructions.

The TOPAZ XL HD lets you display an entire page of text in high contrast across a widescreen monitor and read without moving the reading table from side to side. This means less fatigue, faster reading, and better comprehension. Perfect for working your way through that list of books you’ve been desperate to read.

The TOPAZ XL HD can be connected to a PC (with GEM image management and OpenBook scanning and reading software installed). With a single keystroke it is possible to send a high-definition image from the TOPAZ XL HD camera to OpenBook, which will automatically perform optical character recognition (OCR) and begin reading aloud. It is possible to scan multiple pages as one document, then edit the document and save it. Using OpenBook it is possible to format multiple columns into a single column on your screen for continuous reading. You can also change the font size and colours, and even print out a copy with your enhancements, or save the document as an MP3.
